Conventional lasers generally concentrate the laser energy into a single beam. Fractional lasers emit hundreds of tiny individual laser beams into the skin in very short bursts.

The SELLAS is a Erbium Glass 1550nm Fractional Medical Aesthetic Laser system. Due to its revolutionary high water absorption and up to 1.5mm penetration depth, the sellas is able to achieve a remarkable result for a variety of skin problems. It is particularly effective in treating acne scars and stretch marks.

Fractional lasers like the sellas is non-ablative i.e. procedures that leaves the skin intact. It applies hundreds of tiny individual laser beams into the skin in very short bursts. This has several types of effects on the skin depending on the depth of penetration. One such effect is in the stimulation of collagen production and elastin regeneration. As the new collagen is regenerated, it reduces fines lines and wrinkles.

How many fractional treatments are required?
Results are observed within 3 weeks. Usually two to three treatments are required for maximum benefit.

Is the treatment difficult?
The process is straightforward. At your initial visit, your aesthetic practitioner will discuss with you your previous treatment history followed by an assessment of your skin condition. Consequently a regime for treatment is recommended for the most effective and optimum results the laser. Each laser treatment typically lasts between 30-40 minutes. The treatment is repeated after 3-4 weeks.

Is the treatment painful?
The impact of the laser on the skin can be described as  tiny pin pricks or tingling sensation which is a minor discomfort to some patients. Your aesthetician can help reduce this discomfort with topical anesthetic. The sellas has the unique ability to emit the laser i a random spray manner to further reduce the discomfort. After treatment, the area will be slightly reddish and any discomfort will disappear within a week.

Post laser treatment care?
You will be required to use a moisturizer and sun block for 3 weeks. Post laser care is individualized and it is important to follow your aesthetician advise and instruction exactly for optimum results.
